We Were Looking for a coach to improve our daughter’s core and flexibility- 2 major elements that contribute to improvement to her sports we started out her journey with Black Cat Movement.
What every athlete requires is different and very specific training area to boost their own sporting ability. Hence, in seeking of a coach with such specific needs, it is important to find one that is very open minded and willing to “go that extra mile” of investigating on what is needed to be achieved in each individual sports, and the ways for achieving it. We are very please to have met coach Jarratt along the way who has the dedication in my daughter’s improvement. His intuition in finding out the unique requirement of different sports, and what are the specific areas of an athlete’s performance to be enhanced through his expertise. Thank you coach for being part of our sporting journey. ~Caroll Chalker |
I first went to Black Cat Movement after fracturing my right fibula. 4 months of not being to put weight on the foot after my surgery meant that the muscles atrophied and, my flexion and extension of the ankle was poor.
Being both an athlete and a trainer meant that Jarratt knew I not only wanted to get back basic movements, but that I also wanted to be at the same level I used to be pre-injury. On the first lesson, we started with an analysis of my movements and goals before he decided on a plan for me. The plan created was detailed and well thought out; focusing on mobility, endurance and then finally strength. Jarratt used a wide array of skill sets to help in achieving my goals (steel mace, rings, kettlebells, animal locomotion, barbell, etc) and every session was interesting. Throughout my time with him, I noticed significant improvements in my strength and, most notably, the flexion and extension of my ankle. Outside of our PT sessions, Jarratt was (and still is) very patient in answering my questions and sharing his knowledge; the learning never stops. If you’re looking for someone who will take the time to understand your goals and is dedicated to helping you achieve them, look for Black Cat Movement ~Angela Choo |
